Left: Disneyland and Rhetoric   84" x 96" Oil on canvas

Right: Anal Didactica 2000 A.D.   96" x 84 Oil on canvas

Mistress Seductra Makes A Spectacle of Herself is based on a polaroid photo of myself that I Directed. (It also includes an image based on a reproduction from a monograph on Disney.) Disneyland and Rhetoric includes images based on a photo of Elvis Presley, photographic reproductions in the Disney monograph, a surfboard decal, and photos published in the F.A.C.T. anthology Caught Looking. Anal Didactica 2000 A.D. includes images based on a photo of Jimmy Page published in a Led Zeppelin-themed magazine (for which I do not have the title,) on a photographic reproduction of an Eric Fischl painting, (Sleepwalker,) and photos from Caught Looking. The image of the young man crouching in the foreground is based on a photo that I had taken of an acquaintance of mine during 1987-88.
