It is classical, jazz, and pop acts producing work in conventional forms who are academic — whether or not they formally studied music or went to college. Their heavy-handed image and sexual-lifestyle marketing does not make them any less academic, or any less boring.

I am composing all of the instrumental parts using a digital app — although I never studied music composition.

Live musicians — with me on piano — will perform the completed compositions.

Growing up in York, PA, I was an advanced pianist — and ballerina — giving recitals in childhood. I also played jazz piano with the York High Jazz Band, which produced a number of well-known jazz musicians. In adulthood, I performed blues piano with my past boyfriend, a guitarist (1992–1995).

However, I cannot stand playing any traditional genre of music — or music composed by someone else.
